Look out, I drew a thing!

Post by selkie on Sun Jul 03, 2011 10:07 pm

I feel like I will be spending a lot of time in this particular section.
Here, take this quick bullshit sketch-y thing of a recurring character of mine I've just finished. I might complete it WHO KNOWS. Uh, thoughts/questions/comments/etc? :'D I don't know what I'm doing.

Maan those are awesome. I especially like the first one, but then I'm a sucker for cool jackets and goggles. MORE

Wish I could post more stuff, but my scanner hates me.

Ah man, thanks guys!

@Icy Lemon: Augh fuck scanners. Mine mutilates everything I scan, I just go digital now. I am a sucker for goggles and coats and all that too, there will probably be more of this chick floating around this thread shortly.

@Wayward: Aahh thanks! Hair is my favorite thing to draw yessss

@Pararaptor: I will be on the lookout for this Goat person. I enjoy goats. Also, thanks!

...There's got to be a better way to respond to each person individually. I will master this skill yet.
In the meantime, some more experimental doodles I've just finished. Not sure how I feel about the style yet. Never enough ladies with horns/antlers.

My scanner just downright refuses to work. Thing is I think my wacom tablet interferes with it somehow, but I don't want to delete the tablet drivers every time I want to scan something.

I'm still trying to get used to digital, but fuck me it feels awkward compared to a pencil and paper.

Not to mention learning all the knicks and knacks of photoshop is confusing. Razz

Ohhh lord, that's a real bitch. D: Get a new scanner? There's no easy solution for that, haha. Mine's dead as a doornail. It's been gathering dust on top of my desk for half a year now. Scanners are so tricky.

Digital takes a while to get used to. To be fair, I can't use photoshop worth a damn, either, I use Opencanvas. Photoshop is so confusing there are so many buttons what does it all meannnnn.

If it's of any consolation it's the most pitiful little campaign ever. But I feel you, man. Shitsux. I am sorry. :C I love PnP gsdkjdakjg.

Ah, she's my character and her name is Hannelotte. Her deal is ~holistic awareness~ and generally being a useless fuck aside from being able to sew and having good charisma. I am actually pretty excited about the holistic awareness bit because it runs the risk of (in big letters in the manual) DRAMATIC FAILURE which has the potential to be terrible and kind of hilarious.
...Really she's sort of boring, I decided to keep it simple so as not to confuse any of the already really confused new people.
I'll be churning out some NPCs soon so maybe I'll post art of them! They're bound to be more interesting.

Actually, no! My friend Gini's running it. I worry for the sake of the campaign because she hasn't done much too similar to this, but she's clever so I'm sure it'll work out. It's the other people I am concerned about. It was her idea, she gets to be the DM, etc. We figure if it fails, I take over/we start again. It's more of a test run for everyone else than anything, I guess. I hope it goes further than that, though.

Oh, and if it's any indicator of how pitiful it is, the chronicle title is Snails Forever Bullshit Assparty.

EXCELLENT QUESTION. We were creating character sheets (sssllllowly) and realized we didn't have a chronicle name, and since we had nothing, someone suggested that and it somehow stuck. It was that or Kawaii Super Cock Emporium.

I've always wanted to do a PnP RP but none of my friends are into that type of thing. The only RP experience I've had is a few on The Escapist and none of those lasted very long.

Oh and nice drawings Selkie, the first one is definitely my favorite one.

Yeah, I really dig that you only have to use one kind of dice, and scale of ten is easy to deal with. None of that d-12, d-20, etc. that confuses the hell out of me.
