Clockpunk is a severely underused subgenre in fiction

Also, fuck people who mix it and dieselpunk together with steampunk.

And fuck steampunk in general. Stupid, ugly and obnoxious subgenre that's been overused for no good goddamn reason. Trains aside, steam was a shitty source of energy and there's a reason why nobody uses it today.

I agree but most steam punk I've seen pretty much just incorporates clockpunk.

I hate cyber and steam punk.

Best punk is dieselpunk with technology from 1910-1950.

I can never hate cyberpunk, because without it we would never have Deus Ex or Blade Runner.

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying it's way overdone and most settings for it are usually shit.

With special emphasis on Blade Runner.

I still need to watch that film in a state where I can remember what happened.
