Just Cause 2 is 75% off on Steam for the next 10 hours.

Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod beta has so far a success, made by the same guys who did San Andreas multiplayer mod.

Niggers, if you don't got this game already...

Even the name and character models look suspiciously similar. But it basically sounds like a less "hardcore" and more quest driven DayZ with more features (although DayZ still has loads of planned features to add).

The biggest crit though, is

" It has permadeath (as an optional “Hardcore Mode”)"

What's the point if it's optional? Being forced into it is what generates the huge tension which is what makes DayZ so fun. No one is going to want to risk losing there character if they can just pick an option that lets them respawn. To be honest it sounds like it lacks a lot of the features that made DayZ such a hit to begin with.

I can see this drawing a lot of the coastal cuties and the more casual fanbase out of DayZ though, which is kinda good I suppose.

Maybe they have some complicated sociology shit that says the best past to customers hearts is to unrelentingly misunderstand what they what.

Can't fault EA for consistency anyway.

Activision was nice enough to do that for me. The last one I bought was Prototype, 3 years ago.

I may pirate Prototype 2 though.

@Dead Space thingy.

Coop is fun but adding it to a horror game takes away so much of the terror. Even Amnesia would end up being hilarious if it had co op.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if someone said that in 1980, 1970, 1960, 1950, 1940, 1930, 1920 and 1910

You'll note I missed out the 90s. Because f*ck the 90s' opinions

Google tells me that quote is from Sgt. Wood's voice actor. Looks like another instance of somebody not knowing jack about video games.

Reminds me of that time Gaz/Ghost's voice actor claimed his character was one of the most memorable in all of video game history.

Top dogs at Bioware haven't been showing up to meetings lately, and given TOR's complete and utter failure as a WoW-killer rumours that EA are going to dissolve Bioware are starting to crop up.
