A third of a pint of bourbon, some ice, 4 lemon segments and one lime segment and I think I chucked some green tea in aswell.

I call it the Perky Kentucky Stallion.

A-men to that brother. I tell you what Sunday when I'm doing my fitness plans I'll run up a rough price for a long weekend in Briton.

It would be fucking awesome to do and not too hard to set up.

There is a part of my life I have never shared with you people; it is a side I'm not exactly proud of but an important part nonetheless. It happened a good few years back during the Second World War. I, through one of my drunken escapades had hooked up with the Italian Partisans in Tuscany:

The year: 1944. The month: June, the day? I don’t remember. I was in a hamlet a way away from Rome. It was a crisp, clear night and the wind only added to the ambience. Me and my amico’s where hidden in an old barn. "Quickly Julius shut off the radio" barked our commander "I hear something.” The static disappeared and leaving in its wake the ominous, distant rumbling of a German half track. We dived out of sight. I, against my instincts, decided to sneak a peak and to my dismay saw it was an SS patrol. The truck drew closer and closer. The fear crept in as my tired fingers gripped my shotgun tighter and tighter. "We can have these faccia de merda" I chanted to myself.

The brakes let out a squeal as the truck drew softly to a halt. The diesel engine muttered constantly as the spotlight buzzed into life. We remained low. The top floor was flooded with a dull glow as the spotlight reached the barn; it was only a matter of time. As the light sliced upwards our hide out was revealed.

“HALT!” demanded the officer. The light torched my retinas as my eyes desperately darted around the room looking into the eyes of the scared men I shared this room with. They suddenly latched onto Julius’s powerful gaze. He stood up without warning and braced the brunt of the wolves.

“Hai del Ginger ale?”

Suddenly women in bikinis burst from the half track. The skies split in two, limes rained down upon us like a citrus Armageddon. The SS officer brandished a bottle of ginger ale from his cooler. AC/DC blared from the speakers as we mixed a splash of Tuaca, a healthy serving of Ginger ale, some ice and a squeezed lime. We danced together and drunk this magnificent drink.

No wonder I was completely hammered last night I went through a 3rd of my bottle of Tuaca and 3 large bottles of beer. These Tuscan mules are just too tasty.

9% and actually tastes like a nice beer. Dunno if you'll get it down south though.

I'm partial to Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, personally. It's something like 9.5%, and absolutely delicious to boot. Don't know if you can can get it outside of the US, but those of you in the UK should be able to get a Samuel Smith Imp Stout at least, which is even better.

Friday night I tipped a full bottle of bud down the sink because I didn't want to drink it anymore after finishing the washing up. Thought this was an appropriate thread for that anecdote.

Agreed, I would have drunk it if it was any other beer. Also like how I've gone from having a bottle of spirits in my cupboard to now just one can of red stripe. Cutting it all down.

Started drinking red wine over christmas. Can't remember what it was, some sort of fancy merlot or pinot noir, but it was damn good. You get a different kind of buzz than you do from beer.

Oh god, I just made myself a drink of this, I urge everyone to give this a try if you haven't already.

Strong, flavorful taste without being too overpowering, puts some red in my cheeks and a drunken grin on my face.
