Fuck this piece of shit

Post by Pararaptor on Sun Nov 13, 2011 4:11 am

My computer is an asshole & I'm finally working enough that I can actually start saving money at a reasonable rate so I'm doing the logical thing & going to build a computer.

However the one thing I've never understood is how do I tell if parts are going to compatible with each other? How do I tell if the PSU is going to be able to supply enough power to the rest of the machine?

Typically when you buy parts they'll say what they require in the technical specifications. The wattage, what slots the motherboard has, that sort of thing. Just make sure your RAM fits your motherboard, you have the right PC-I slot on your mboard for your graphics card, and that your processor works with the motherboard (Half will usually take AMD and the other half Intel).
